I help busy adults build strong, capable bodies that perform as well as they look. My approach combines strategic strength training, intentional programming, and sustainable habits to help you lose fat, build muscle, and move with confidence for the long term.

With over 20 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, I bring both expertise and real-life perspective to my coaching. As a working mom and wife, I understand how challenging it can be to balance everything while still prioritizing your health. My goal is to simplify the process and guide you with structure, clarity, and support every step of the way.

My journey into fitness began in my 30s, when I set out to reconnect with myself after having kids. What started as a personal goal quickly became a passion. I went on to compete in natural bodybuilding, earning professional status as a figure and physique competitor and judge, with top-five finishes in every competition.

My passion for nutrition deepened after being diagnosed with lupus, which led me to explore the powerful role food plays in overall health and performance. This experience shaped my holistic approach, blending training and nutrition to create lasting, meaningful results.

Whether your goal is fat loss, muscle building, improved athletic performance, or simply becoming a stronger, more confident version of yourself, I provide the guidance and structure to help you get there.

Hi, I’m Melissa Joy.

Assistant Coaches

A man and a woman standing together on a forest trail near a stream, smiling and embracing, dressed in outdoor hiking gear.

I grew up in New Hampshire, where I trained in ballet and played sports throughout high school. I earned my BA in Psychology from Fairfield University and my MA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of New Haven.

After beginning my career in corporate America, I got married, started a family, and eventually settled in Georgia. As a mother of three, I became passionate about creating an environment where my kids could thrive in their sports—while also recommitting to my own health and fitness.

After my third child, I found my way back into the gym and quickly developed a strong passion for building sustainable, healthy habits both inside and outside of training. Over the past 10 years, I’ve trained consistently and gained firsthand experience in what it takes to balance fitness with the demands of everyday life.

Over the past year, I’ve taken on a more active role assisting in leading training sessions, where I enjoy helping others build strength, confidence, and consistency in a supportive environment. I’m passionate about meeting people where they are and helping them develop habits that lead to long-term success.
